CONTRACTORS - SHOULD YOU BE ON THE HOME REHABILITATION CONTRACTOR LIST?
The Community Development receives funding from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and obligates a portion of those funds for residential rehabilitation programs in the city limits. The programs are offered to low and moderate-income residents. Private contractors, selected by the applicant, perform the work.
All contractors that want to bid on City Housing Rehabilitation Program work must provide documentation of their eligibility to perform work under the programs. A Community Development Contractors List is maintained and provides program applicants with a convenient source of contractors that meet our program minimum requirements.
The City of Williamsport Community Development Office does not recommend contractors but, at their request, we can provide Housing Rehabilitation Program applicants with a list of licensed and insured contractors. A listing is not a recommendation. A listing does not guarantee a Contractor will be asked to bid on jobs. Applicants can request listed contractors (or any other eligible contractor) be sent Specifications and Bid Request Forms for work performed under our programs.
Contractors, if you are interested in being listed, read the following information and submit the required application and documentation to the Community Development Office in City Hall, 245 West Fourth Street, Williamsport, PA 17701.
