Death certificates are handled at the Lycoming County Courthouse in the Register & Recorders office for 1893 through 1905. The phone number for this office is 570.327.2263. Death certificates from January 1, 1906 forward are referred to the New Castle office. You can reach this office by calling 1.800.255.2414. Another way to obtain to obtain a death certificate is to contact your State Senator or State Representative.

How do I apply for a marriage license?
Answer:
Marriage licenses are handled at the Lycoming County Courthouse in the Register & Recorders office. The phone number for this office is 570.327.2263. When calling to request this type of record, please be sure to have the names of the applicants and approximate date the marriage license was issued. The Register & Recorder can then give you a certified copy of the marriage license and advise you of any costs related.

How do I apply for a passport?
Answer:
The Prothonotary Office at the Lycoming County Courthouse handles passport requests. Applications can be obtained at their office. You will need your birth certificate, drivers license and two (2) passport photos. The Prothonotary Office can be reached at 570.327.2251. Applications can also be obtained online at travel.state.gov. Their phone number is 1.877.487.2778. Applications are also available at the Post Office on Reach Road where you may also have your passport photos taken.
